Your gourmet education won’t be complete until you try one of Peru’s most amazing desserts: San Roque King Kong de Manjar Blanco! Soft, milky, sweet, perfect!
Why
King Kong’s story is a fun and yummy one! No, we don’t mean the giant monkey, but one of Peru’s most iconic sweets!
Born in Lambayeque, in Northern Peru, it was created by a woman and her friends, who started selling it with great success. People were amazed by such a magnificent dessert and they informally named it King Kong, given how popular the film was in the 1930s!
Now a classic, this creation consists of layered soft cookies, filled with different ingredients. In this case, traditional milk caramel. And original yet super comfy sweet!
